Fall Fishing

Fall Fishing

Fishing has been unreal this fall. The Salmon and Trout have stuck around Chicago all year and are still here! Why Knot is booked up for the year, but the Chicago Fishing Fleet just added a new boat, Storm Warning, a 25 foot unsinkable Boston Whaler Conquest run by Capt. Brian Gentile. His rates and phone number are on our rates page. He'll put you on fish all fall and winter long! Give him a call.

Thank You!

Thank You!

Thank you to all of our guests on Why Knot this year for making it a successful fishing season! The fishing has slowed down dramatically over the past week and most likely will remain slow until December when the boat will be tucked away in her winter home. We will be opening up our 2016 fishing calendar over the next couple weeks. 2015 was a blast! We look forward to another great year on the water in 2016.  Here is a picture from the last fishing trip of the year 2 weeks ago. We couldn't keep the Lakers off the hook!

Air and Water Show Weekend!

Air and Water Show Weekend!

Its been too long! Fishing has been good to very good over the past couple weeks. The steady SW winds the past week have brought colder water and bait fish in close to Chicago which has made for much better Salmon fishing than earlier this summer. We have been catching Steelhead, Coho Salmon, King Salmon, and Lake Trout all mixed together. Our only dates left open in August are the 26th, 30th, and 31st. Give us a call to get out on the water before summer is over!
